Our client is a rapidly growing tech startup with a global presence, driven by innovation and a commitment to excellence. As we expand our operations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources to join our team in Tokyo.
Role Overview
As the HR Director for APAC, you will be a key strategic partner in shaping our organization’s growth by leading talent acquisition, employee engagement, and overall HR activities. This role requires a forward-thinking HR professional who can navigate the challenges of a fast-paced startup environment and contribute to building a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract top-tier talent across the APAC region. Lead recruitment efforts, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
- HR Strategy: Partner with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives. Develop and execute HR strategies that support the company’s rapid growth and expansion plans.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Performance Management: Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, regular check-ins, and performance reviews. Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters.
- Learning and Development: Design and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities. Identify training needs and collaborate with teams to address skill gaps.
- HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. Implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational values.
- Communication: Establish effective communication channels within the organization. Ensure transparent and open communication between employees and management.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of HR strategies that support the company’s overall growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably as an HR Director, within a fast-growing tech startup or dynamic corporate environment.
- Talent Acquisition: Strong expertise in talent acquisition, with a track record of successfully hiring top-tier talent in competitive markets.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and align HR initiatives with business goals. Experience contributing to organizational growth and expansion plans.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving startup environment. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing HR team.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Relevant HR certifications are a plus.
