Job Description:

My client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Director to drive revenue growth and market expansion for our financial data SaaS solutions in Japan. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to acquire new clients, expand existing relationships, and drive adoption of our solutions across various industry verticals in Japan. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial industry, proven experience in enterprise sales, and a track record of driving business success through effective sales strategies and leadership. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and business objectives for our financial data SaaS solutions in Japan. 
  • Identify and prioritize key market segments, industries, and prospective clients, and develop targeted sales initiatives and marketing campaigns to penetrate new markets and drive customer acquisition. 
  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team, providing leadership, coaching, and support to drive performance excellence and exceed sales targets. 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within financial institutions, investment firms, and corporations in Japan. 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and execution of sales initiatives and customer solutions. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in the financial industry, and leverage insights to inform sales strategy and decision-making. 
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness, generate leads, and expand the company’s presence in the market. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales roles within the financial industry, with a focus on enterprise sales and selling SaaS solutions preferred. 
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion through strategic sales planning, customer acquisition, and relationship management. 
  • Deep understanding of the financial industry, including knowledge of market data, trading systems, and financial technology solutions. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing sales teams and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Fluency in Japanese and English languages required, with the ability to conduct business negotiations and presentations in both languages.
