Japan’s Top venture capital firm seeking for Fintech consultant
My client is a global venture capital firm, they connect startups, large corporations, and investors to accelerate innovation worldwide. Founded in Silicon Valley in 2006, the company is currently operating in over 40 locations globally, providing support for startup business growth and corporate innovation.
The company’s Japan entity was established as a subsidiary in 2017, and it now boasts over 45 leading companies from various industries as partners. The company excels in offering consortium-style programs, accelerator programs leveraging our global network, and startup support through venture capital investment. By fostering collaboration between startups with innovative technologies and ideas and large corporations, they aim to build an innovation platform.
Position Overview
My client is looking for currently seeking a Fintech consultant to support our client’s innovation projects. In this role, you will identify and execute proposals to address business challenges of corporate partners, support corporate partners in accelerator programs by accompanying them, resolving challenges, and providing support for corporate partners during Demo Days, mentor sessions, and other events.
This position offers a bright career path to the buyside including Venture Capital, Private Equity and etc, an opportunity to learn from many innovative startups from the US or Europe.
Responsibilities
- Support corporate partners in accelerator programs.
- Building strong relationships with multiple levels of corporate partners, including executives and decision-makers
- Identifying business challenges of corporate partners and executing proposals leading to solutions
- Understanding the needs of corporate partners and introducing appropriate startups
- Supporting corporate partners in Demo Days, mentor sessions, and other events
- Building metrics to measure the value provided to corporate partners and sharing them with the team.
- Search and understanding industry trends, cutting-edge technologies, and services
Qualifications
- Native Japanese, English business level or above.
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Experience in Financial modeling, research and analysis
- Minimum 2 year’s experience in one of the followings: Consulting firm, account management and etc.
- Have a desire to change Japan by working with major Japanese companies.
- Good communication skills and good at interacting with people.
- Able to thinking logically and derive solutions.
- Interested in the innovation ecosystem and want to take on the challenge of creating new mechanisms that will have an impact on society.
- Able to manage and execute multiple projects.
- Able to think independently and drive projects forward.
- Good at public speaking.
