Top-tier US-telecommunications technology group seeking Application Engineer (AE)

For 75 years, the company has been unlocking insights into electronic measurement and has worked to provide technical support to a diverse range of customers (Japanese semiconductor, A&D, telecoms market and research sectors). 

Position Overview :

My client is now looking for a Post Sales Application Engineer (AE) for their team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing technical support, especially in supporting design and verification solutions. You will also be responsible for services such as technical support, customer training services and on-site premium support. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to installation-based customers as post-sales support with ADS, SystemVue and other EDA products. 
  • Assist with pre-sales activities and respond to customer technical queries. 
  • Provide customer training and perform a variety of technical support. 
  • Focused on support tailored to customer needs and execute activities to increase customer satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate closely with product R&D and sales departments to resolve issues. 
  • Support methods include web portal, email, telephone and on-site visits. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or above ideally from electronics, physics or related majors 
  • At least 2 years experience in system design, digital, RF/MW or circuit design/evaluation  
  • Experience with network testing tools such as SYSTEMVUE, ADS, etc. 
  • Expertise in system level design, high speed digital technologies and electromagnetic analysis 
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills 
  • Advanced Japanese and English communication skills (TOEIC score of 700 or above will be desirable) 

Preferred Abilities:

  • Able to understand the client’s management issues, business issues and design flow. 
  • Strong understanding of communication systems or circuit design and EDA software design tool applications. 
  • Familiarity with industry trends and a passion for continuous acquisition of relevant technical knowledge. 
  • Have the ability to explain the operation of EDA software. 
  • Basic programming skills in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, etc.
