Israeli Cybersecurity Startup Rapidly Establishes and Expands Japanese Team in 3 Months

A rapid growing Israeli cybersecurity startup embarked on a mission to expand their Japan team urgently, adding 5 critical roles. The HR manager, facing limited time, language barriers, and a scarcity of bilingual engineers, partnered with us to navigate these challenges. The HR team, base in Israel and unfamiliar with the Japanese market, grappled with expressing company values and attracting candidates in a language they didn’t speak. Most engineers in Japan didn’t speak English, further constricting the talent pool.

We have a large existent cybersecurity talent pool in Japan, and 80% above are bilingual. After discussing with the HR team we presented them to our existing candidate network, we were able to introduce strong candidates right away.

In collaborative discussions, the HR team and us strategized, tailoring our approach to the unique Japanese cybersecurity landscape. For crucial sales positions, client seek for our advice, and kindly accepted our suggestions, led to a successful hire of a senior sales professional, aligning with business needs, budget constraints, and startup culture.

Our teamwork paid off. The HR team successfully onboarded all 5 new members, satisfied the business needs for multiple departments including sales and engineer team. Our joint efforts contributed significantly to the Japan team’s expansion within the headquarters’ stipulated timeline. Despite boundaries of language and distance, the HR team forged a strengthened team ready to grow in Japan’s competitive market.
