Our client is a leading SaaS company headquartered in the US, revolutionizing the industry with innovative solutions. With a strong global presence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in Tokyo, overseeing the financial strategy and operations for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Role Overview

As the CFO for the APAC region, you will play a strategic role in driving financial success and ensuring compliance with regional regulations. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and local teams to provide financial guidance and support business growth across diverse markets.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives, ensuring financial health and sustainability in the APAC region.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial projections and insights to guide business decisions.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities, implementing effective risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s financial interests.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regional financial regulations, reporting requirements, and tax obligations. Collaborate with legal teams to mitigate legal and financial risks.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Conduct thorough financial analyses to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and business initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, to build strong financial partnerships that support the company’s growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • Financial Expertise: Extensive experience in financial leadership roles, ideally as a CFO, with a strong background in SaaS or technology companies.
  • Regional Experience: In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, taxation, and business practices in the APAC region. Previous experience managing finance operations for a global company is highly desirable.
  • Strategic Vision: Proven ability to contribute to the development and execution of strategic business plans, driving financial success and supporting growth initiatives.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Analytical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
